Land value by county across the United States

Land value by county is the typical price per acre of land in one county, taken from recorded sales and from the county data the USDA publishes. LandPricer lists only counties with real published data, shows the source and date of every number, and lets you price any parcel inside them.

Where county land values come from

County values come from the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service, which publishes state land values every year, county cash rents for most states and county land and building values in the Census of Agriculture every five years, and from county assessor and recorder data published under open terms. Each figure on a county page names its source and date.

Land value by county questions

Why is my county missing?

We publish a county page only when there is real data behind it. If your county is missing, you can still price a parcel there with the form above.

Are county land values the same as market value?

No. A county figure is an average across very different parcels. Your parcel's value depends on its size, access, flood zone and location, which is why LandPricer prices the parcel itself.

How often are county values updated?

USDA state values and county cash rents change once a year, Census of Agriculture figures every five years. Recorded sales update as new sales are recorded and imported.
